A weekly timesheet in your browser

This calculator replaces a paper timesheet. For each day of the week enter the time you clocked in and out; the table subtracts your unpaid break and shows the hours worked in hours and minutes. The weekly total appears below, both as hours and minutes and as decimal hours, which is the format most payroll systems expect.

A default break length applies to every worked day, and you can override it for individual days by typing a different number in that row's break column, for example 0 on a short Friday or 60 on a long shift. Shifts that cross midnight, such as 22:00 to 06:00, are handled automatically.

Overtime and pay

Set the number of weekly hours after which overtime begins, commonly 40 in the United States, and the tool splits the total into regular and overtime hours. If you enter an hourly rate and an overtime multiplier such as 1.5, it also estimates gross pay for the week. These estimates do not include taxes, rounding rules or local labour laws, so treat them as a guide and confirm with your employer.

Rules differ between countries, and some jurisdictions calculate overtime daily rather than weekly. If yours does, use the per-day rows to check each day yourself.

Tips

Fill in times as soon as you finish a shift so you do not rely on memory. Leave a day blank if you did not work. Use the Clear all button to start a new week. Everything is calculated locally in your browser; no times, rates or pay figures are uploaded or stored.

Keep a copy of your totals each week in case a payroll question comes up later. If your employer rounds clock times to the nearest quarter hour, enter the rounded times so the totals match your pay slip.

Frequently asked questions

Does it handle night shifts?
Yes. If the clock-out time is earlier than clock-in, the shift is treated as crossing midnight.
Why show decimal hours?
Payroll often needs 7.75 instead of 7:45. The total is shown in both formats.
Is my data saved?
No. Everything stays in your browser and is cleared when you leave the page.
