Sometimes you just need a five minute timer without fiddling with settings. Choose a preset button from 1 to 60 minutes and press Start. The big display counts down and an alarm sounds at zero. If you need an unusual length such as 7 minutes 30 seconds, type it into the minutes and seconds boxes; decimals like 2.5 minutes also work.

Popular durations are built in because they match everyday tasks: 1 minute for planks and tooth brushing, 3 minutes for soft eggs, 5 minutes for tea or a quick break, 10 minutes for a short walk or a speed clean, 15 minutes for a power nap, 20 minutes for a study sprint, 30 minutes for a focused work block, and 45 to 60 minutes for a lesson or a long task.

Share a timer with a link

Press Copy link and you get a URL that opens this page with your exact duration already filled in, for example a link that starts at 25 minutes. Bookmark it, put it on a classroom page, or send it to a friend, and the timer will be ready the moment the page opens. The duration is the only thing stored in the link; nothing about you is sent anywhere.

While the timer runs, the remaining time is also shown in the browser tab title, so you can keep working in another tab and still see the countdown. Pause and Reset behave as you would expect, and the sound can be switched off with the checkbox.

Accuracy and privacy

The countdown is computed from the system clock rather than by adding up interval ticks, so it stays accurate even if the tab is throttled. The page works offline once loaded, needs no account and uploads nothing.
